With the ever-present need to electrify their fleets looming over fleet managers’ heads, a recent study from AFP (Association of Fleet Professionals) has stated that Telematics is an essential tool in adopting electric vehicles into your fleet. The reason fleet managers are hesitant towards fleet electrification boils down to range anxiety and charging downtime leading to delays in their operations.
Using ACSS Telematics and Tracking, fleet managers can reduce charging downtime by monitoring their vehicles’ charge, and route planning to ensure routes feature charge points. Whilst charging their vehicle during scheduled break times and limiting their charge to 80%, fleet vehicles can spend more time working and maximize their efficiency. By efficiently managing downtime and planning routes with charge points fleet managers can combat some of the key obstacles in adopting EVS into their fleet.
