2022 has been an eventful year for many of our transport sector clients as well as for us. After the disruptions caused by the pandemic, Brexit and the worldwide chipset shortage, we were all hoping for a prompt recovery. Conflict in Europe, inflation and economic uncertainties made 2022 a very challenging year for most.
For ACSS, notwithstanding the circumstances, it was the opportunity to strengthen our team and develop our capabilities further to serve our transport sector clients better.
Thus, several highly talented people joined our team in 2022:
- Paul Howell to lead the Sales and Marketing team,
- Liam Taylor to spearhead our continuing drive into the Taxi and PHVs sector,
- George Baker, our new Marketing executive,
- Pedro Cardenas, a technical wizard, to support Alasdair Graham our Technical Manager.
Of course, many of you know our long-standing stalwarts, Mel Meachen who is heading up the Operations and Peter Elliott our Production and Supply Manager.
Developing new offerings as well as improving existing ones has been our prime focus this year:
Telematics
Working together with key partners, like Maple and Fonix, our team has successfully developed and improved leading technologies to assist clients in Secure Transport and Telematics. Working with our partners we’ve facilitated several of our clients in the Secure Transport sector to secure their TAPA TSR Level 1 accreditation, essential to their high-value contracts. Designing bespoke remote protection and alarm monitoring systems for blue-chip clients has seen us working across expanding light commercial fleets.
Industry Compliance
We continue to support our clients to meet industry compliance by offering competitive and current systems to meet FORS, CLOCS, and Crossrail whilst consulting on changes and emerging compliance standards. Our developed relationships with international manufacturers enable us to bring the latest technological advances in mobile CCTV to our clients.
Taxis & PHVs
Proud to have been the first supplier to gain Tfl approval for our AES256 encrypted taxi CCTV for London we’ve worked with council licensing authorities across the UK as they implement their mandatory CCTV policies. We’ll continue our work in the sector into 2023 to help protect taxi, PHV drivers and their passengers against the alarming increase in violent attacks that has blighted so many lives and livelihoods this year.
Our continued expansion has seen us move to a new office location, just in time for Christmas. Not far away from where we were in Surrey, it’ll give us further space to grow!
Thanking all our partners and clients for their continued support through 2022.
Wishing you all a Happy Christmas and a prosperous 2023.
